Paul joined us in January as Interim Music Director. He graciously found a beautiful grand piano for our sanctuary and coordinated efforts to get it delivered. He has done a wonderful job with our choir and we are so thankful for his incredible gift of music when he is able to be here! Paul Ferris grew up in Boyne City where his father was minister at BC Presbyterian Church. During high school he played organ there and for a couple of years he also served as organist at FPEJ. After a few years studying music at Grand Valley State, he and his wife Debi moved to San Francisco where they spent 40 years working and raising a family. Paul finished his degree at San Francisco State University and worked as a free-lance musician, doing all manner of things musical, including a lot of church work.  They retired (well, Debi did) and returned to Boyne City in 2018. Paul has served most recently as music director at Petoskey United Methodist Church and is currently trying to retire.  We are very grateful to have Paul here during his semi-retirement! During times he is unable to be here, we have other gifted musicians helping us out! Thank you, Paul!
